Report:
Jim & I fished the Navesink this morning in less than ideal conditions. The call for an early shower missed the mark big time as we had fairly steady rain for the first 3 hours with gusty NW winds. Needless to say, the drift sock got a workout today. I got lucky and landed an early limit out of the first 7 fish that I caught. I would land and release 3 more keepers before Jim would find his first, but it was worth the wait when he decked a nice 22" fish weighing 4 1/2 lbs. Our final tally would be 7 keepers out of 37 fluke with all fish coming on bucktail/Gulp combos. Tight Lines! TINKNOCKER
