TheJigMeister from AL says LOL! Hey Timbo
I just ask a similar question on the "Other" board because I don't know anyone here... and am clueless about saltwater. Check it out for some responses. I'll be at Orange beach 6th - 13th around Phoenix VIII if you're in the area at the time. Look for the fat, pale guy that everyone keeps trying to roll back in the water... LOL! If you are going to be there that week, shoot me an email at luvfishin at gmail.
Sounds like Mole crabs and shrimp maybe be the best bet for some beach fishies.

MCGA #10291 from GA says Just got back from Orange Beach...
I stayed at The Caribe, which is right at the pass of Perdido Bay. From the deck of my condo, I could see red fish, sheep head, and snook. Helped one kid catch about a 2 lb red fish on a Gulp Alive shrimp set up on a drop shot. I noticed that they are extending the jetties out on each side of the pass. I could see several people on the rocks. If you have agility I would get some live shrimp and hit the jetties! Check the tide charts tide charts, i am sure you can catch a lot of different fish on live, dead or gulp alive shrimp! I didn't take my rod this year, but have caught blue fish, red, and jack craville fish on a white fluke and a gotcha lure.
