SUBJECT: # 40123: Tarpon fishing in Costa Rica

I'm seriously thinking of fleeing the cold and go fish in Costa Rica for two weeks. Does anyone have any experience with any of the lodges in Costa Rica? I like the looks of the Silver King Lodge, but the web sites make ALL the lodges look good. I'm looking for good fishing and a clean place to eat and sleep. Anything else is window dressing. Any recommendations?

I haven't been to Costa Rico; I have several friends who do that almost every year and use that same lodge and it's also on the Orvis recommended list but they aways go in May. You might want to call because I don't think the tarpon are there this time of year. I can recommend a guide in Puerto Rico (my son used him last year) but there are no tarpon in PR this time of year either.
