Look for signs of bait fish or shrimp.
Seagulls diving for food is a very good sign. If water is calm enough, look for small 'oil slicks' which indicate trout are feeding. Good Luck.

I'm no pro. but do alot of surfishing from boliver down to port A., I'm headed to freeport in june , what i look for is fish actively feeding , blues are the most noticeable, this at least tells you there are baitfish in the area, the other thing is blue water out just beyond the third gut which is where i'm generally able to reach with my rods, this tells me the water is a little deeper there. good luck let us know how you do!
