SUBJECT: # 9307: myrtle beach surf fishing

Submitted by steelerfan from MD on 7/22/2007 10:44:00 PM

Just got back from the beach. Stayed up north around 52nd street. Had good luck in the mornings with shrimp for spots. The surf was a little rough. I caught a lot of blues too. If you go and do not know where to go, head to the south end of pawleys island. The fishing was good and the family had fun in the tide pools at low tide. I caught pompano, blues, trout, spots, and two big sting rays. Two shark bites at Atlantic beach last week but I did not catch any black tips.
