SUBJECT: # 32190: I need some pointers on oregon surf casting

Submitted by Bruno (64.12.104.38) from OREGON on 9/21/2000 12:45:00 PM

I am interested in surf casting/fishing. i am new and i am not sure what size pole to buy or the type of tackle and bait to use. i live on the oregon coast. i have seen some nice poles ranging from 10 to 12 feet, is a longer pole(12 feet) better? i would appreciate any insight. thanks.

I'am new to the sport of surf fishing also,so all i can suggest is to do a search for each item of interest on this board , surf fishing board,Texas board, and the FLorida boards. All have good information and insight. SEIZE THE DAY
