I have a pretty good list of handicaped accessible fishing sites so far but sketchy info on most. Driving directions to the various sites would be great. Piers, bridges, bank fishing, etc. Guide and charter boats that cater to the handicaped would be great too.
There is a book listing these places for Crystal River South but nobody has compiled a list for Northwest Florida.
I have to run almost 20 miles by boat to the nearest floating dock to pick up handicaped fishermen for charters. That makes for a long day for me.

Capt Ken,
Maybe a little more info an what makes these
locations accessible to the handicaped would help.
Somethings are obvious such as not being able to
get a wheelchair over a step up to a pier. I think
just by posting some basic requirements may have
a positive affect on the design of these locations.
Many don't realize what is needed until it hits
them personaly. I myself now have a small ramp so
my Father and my Mother-in-Law can join us on the
dock for fishing, crabing and family meals on the
water. Many locations could be modified for a minimal amount of money
with the increase in usage covering those costs.
Just my thoughts.

I have looked at a lot of the sites that I am collecting. Some that have ben advertised as wheelchair accessible sure would require a lot of effort and help.
I count myself fortunate not to have some of the problems that others live with. I'd porbably be a real griper if I wanted to fish and couldn't find an accessible place.
Thanks,
Capt. Ken
