SUBJECT: # 32960: Seeker 670

Submitted by MinnowMaster (152.163.213.47) from CALIFORNIA on 12/17/2000 9:04:00 PM

I was wondering if any one out there knows if this is a good rod for 30# live bait. I have the 7' model. I am planning to match it with a shimano tld 20/40. Any help would be appreciated.

According to seeker's web site (www.seekerrods.com) the line rating for this rod is 20 to 50 pound, with a 30 pound optimum rating and they state this rod can be used for live bait fishing, bottom fishing, and yo-yo fishing. This is when rigged as a conventional rod.

Minnow, go to http://www.sport-fish-info.com/dcforum/cgibin/dcboard.cgi and go to the "Tackle Board". It is a west coast saltwater fishing site and the guys on it really know their stuff.
