If you have a boat, drift the reefs just off Bluebuck pt on the North end. Go onto Pleasure Island and head to the causeway - launch there and drift from the bridge (North) over towards the LA side. Bounce plastics on bottom or catch 2000's on top. Specks are slow this year but they were fair a few weeks back.

The Keith Lake cut in the ship channel was going good on specks but seems to have tapered off in the heat.

The jetty's are ok on the LA side (mostly at the end - early near rocks) and the LA beach is good if you want to wade. You need a LA license for the LA side of the Jetty.

Just off the jettys are some monster jack crevalles balling TF on the surface - they're great fun on light tackle but not much for eat'n.

Good luck. Too bad you missed last year - specks were everywhere.
