SUBJECT: # 36734: Mann's Stretch 50 price is coming down - I'll probably get one.

Submitted by Offshore444 from FLORIDA on 1/17/02 2:02:00 PM

Talked to the sports manager at walmart this a.m., he said they will be $40. Will have to break down and get one or two. Has anyone used this before and if so, how much torque did it generate and any luck with the fish?

I love the Stretches, but can't find myself spending $70.00 bucks for a 50. How do you go from a Ten dollar stretch to a $70 stretch, never made sense to me!!

A stretch 50 is a diving plug made by manns that will dive a little over 50 feet deep. I have only used the stretch 25s and 30s with success for Wahoo, Yellowfin tuna, and amberjack.

Hi offshore, my experience with the fifties are they generate ALOT of torque. I only pull them with penn 50's. I have pulled them on approx my last 7 or 8 trips out. All with no success. That doesn't mean I've given up. I've had great success with the smaller versions.Any feed back is appreciated.
