Here's a link to an article that appeared in the Feb. issue of Saltwater Sportsman, addressing the ridiculous campaign of PETA to halt recreational fishing:

Brad from CALIFORNIA says How many fishermen call themselves 'environmentalists?
How many of those environmentalists take trips to the 'environment' without the express intent of killing or injuring a wild animal/fish?

tideline2 (66.153.164.168) from SOUTH CAROLINA says how many people
ride their skiffs 75 nm. out into the ocean to harrass helpless ocean creatures that were minding their own business. better for them to be captured after a short fight than scared by a human intruder for hours at a time. tight lines !

we did quite well ignoring brad of the fanciful tales last time he tried to infect this site, so let's do it again and perhaps it will go away...

MEGABITE from TEXAS says Brat, we are 'conservationists'
Our efforts (thru local conservation associations and
fishing license sales) raise money to help our state
Fish & Wildlife Department stock millions of fish back
into our lakes and bays. Alot of us practice catch and
release. Some of us assist in the tagging program to
track fish movement in order to better understand how
we can keep their numbers healthy. Alot of us participate
in beach cleanups as well as old crab trap cleanups all
along our coast. We participate in creel surveys to
count fish taken, in order to set size and creel limits
accordingly. We create and put in place artificial reefs,
to provide a home for countless marine species. What have
you done lately?

Misfit (152.163.197.83) from FLORIDA says I prefer to practice Redneck Catch & Release
U ask what is a redneck catch and release? That is where I only filet one side of the fish then release it.
