I would like to catch a handfull of bait fish for offshore AJ fishing. What is the method for catching these bait fish in quantity, my wife doesn't catch enough with a hook. Will freshwater perch traps work, just put them in deep water. I here people catching a few hundred a day. What is the deal.. We catch mud minows in traps, but perch not on my docks...

Buy a Pinfish trap, bait it with fried chicken, and add water. Voila!!
