SUBJECT: # 37945: Yo-zuri closed down??

Submitted by Captain Asparagus of NZ from ALABAMA on 9/16/02 12:20:00 AM

Hi Guys, just heard a bit of unconfirmed scuttlebutt going around that yo-zuri has been shut down by it's bankers. That is Yo-zuri in japan, not a distributor in the states or anything. has anyone heard anything about this? Confirm or Deny?? Cheers, Stu.

WalMart had a huge table with Yozuri's at cheap prices. Are they dumping or something?

junk like that hybrid line they were marketing, I am not surprised. They may have good lures but their line was crap.

your application of yo zuri line may suck, but I like it and have had no problems with it.

The line is horrid about about memory..I used it for kingfishing in a tournament and it was on the reels but about 12 days and it coiled terrible.. But that fine if that works for YOUR applications!

It does work fine for MY applications. Everyone has an opinion on what is best and I like hybrid.

  7. 9/25/02 4:28:00 PM Submitted by Ollie Bear from CALIFORNIA says I was not dissapointed using it for deep water rockies.
Coiling and casting are not used in dropping a pound or two of shiny hex bars and a hoochie for rockfish and lings at 400' deep. At 350-400', there is little sunlight and the gunmetal color of the line is not a factor. The reduced stretch was a bonus as deckhands hate braided lines. I caught plenty of deepwater rockies using the stuff.

In this limited capaity, I can't criticize yo-zuri lines.
