SUBJECT: # 39105: Avet Reels -- any opinions

Submitted by Gerry, SFHP from VIRGINIA on 4/25/04 1:06:00 PM

Does anyone have any first-hand experience with Avet Reels. I am looking at the SX and MX series.

Do they hold-up well?

Do they cast well?

I bought a blue SX a month or so ago. I've only had a chance to use it once, but it's smooth as glass. When you get one in your hand back the drag off all the way and spin the spool wiuth your finger. You won't believe how long it will spin by itself. The drag is also glass smooth. Pay attention because right now they are introducing new wide versions and higher gear ratios in the MX.
