SUBJECT: # 39106: downriggers offshore in the Carribean

Submitted by Predator (65.23.214.34) from OTHER on 4/25/04 4:52:00 PM

Very few anglers use downriggers around here, but I have been lucky enough to fish with a few that do, and we have enjoyed great success on Wahoo, Tuna, and Bull Dorado. I just bought one for my boat, and can't wait to get out there and use it. I learned the basics from my friends, but I would really appreciate any tips or advice from others more knowledgable than I. You can post on this site or contact me directly at christopherandre6942@hotmail.com
Thank you and "Tight Lines". Chris (call sign Predator)

What brand did you purchase? I use Penn downriggers and love the ease of use. Troll as deep as a 100'+ in local lake here.
