SUBJECT: # 39349: Deep Marsh Fishing for Redfish & Specks

Submitted by Capt. Chad Billiot (209.62.201.189) from LOUISIANA on 12/12/2004 11:37:00 PM

The cold weather will be setting in all week forcing the trout & redfish to headed further into the marsh and seek warmer depths. This generally means fishing out of deadend canals and deep pockets in the marsh. Since we have very little deep lakes most of these fish will be stuck in small holes holding atleast 5 to 6 feet of water. Slow fishing would be jigging a live minnow off the bottom or working a Sea Shad Assassin in Morning Glory on a 1/4oz jig.
