SUBJECT: # 39745: Costa Del Mar sunglasses...

Submitted by Big-Bass (70.16.119.90) from PENNSYLVANIA on 7/29/2006 10:55:00 PM

I think i am going to be buying a pair of Costa Del Mar sunglasses...either the Fathom, Triple Tail, or Harpoon. My question is, what is the best lens color for me? I am getting the WAVE 400 glass lens but can't decide whether to get gray or amber and even moreso, the mirrored blue/gray or green/amber. I do alot of hiking and outdoors stuff in the bright sun, and my fishing is mostly freshwater, but do like to be out on the ocean on charter boats/inshore. So what color would best suit me? Do I need the mirrors and what lens offer the best all around deal? Thanks.

I would contact Costa del Mar directly to answer your questions. They are the experts based on the feedback from there probably hunderds of thousands of customers and their product testing. They are located in Ormond Bch Florida. Great glasses..........have been fishing with their glasses now for probably close to twenty years.

I have been using them for over 10yrs now and have had 2 pair totally replaced for about $50 after I steped on them. The blue lens is really good. Cant go wrong.

Go to a good reputable sunglass shop that will let your try them on & take them out in the sun when you do. That is the best way to tell which lense you will like. I worked in a great sunglass shop for a while, we would take people outside to se how they are all the time. My advice is that if you are in bright sun & have sensative eyes, go with grey/blue mirror. If they are too dark, and they are for some peoples eyes, go with brown/green mirror.
