SUBJECT: # 40018: Anybody out there using DSC on their VHF/GPS?

And, when you installed the new radio, how did you or were you able to confirm that it actually works?

I installed a new radio last week and connected it to my GPS' NMEA output, but without sending a distress call, how can I actually know it's working properly?
