I'm going to Cancun in the first part of May. would like to go fly fishing in the flats. Any suggested guides or places to stay away from?

If you have the time you can rent a car and drive to Punta Allen and get a guide at the co-op for a lot less than the resorts charge. My wife and I stayed at the Cuzan Guest House for less than $50. Google "Ascension Bay fishing".
