I SEE THAT THE FAVORITE NIGHT TIME COLOR FOR A STRIPER PLUG WAS BLACK, WHAT PLUG ARE YOU GUYS WHO CHOSE BLACK USING. I HAVE FISHED MAINLY FRESH WATER LAKES IN THE MID-WEST. AND ALWAYS FELT THAT THE BRIGHTER THE LURE THE BETTER CHANCE I MIGHT HAVE OF ATTRACTING A STRIKE. IT APPEARS THAT I AM POSSIBLY MISSING SOMETHING. THANKS FOR ANY INPUT IN ADVANCE........LUNKERHUNTIN. p.s my favorite night lure is hands down a white little mac with a red head.

for big stripers, the best on cape cod: most will say dark pencil poppers with erratic retrieve. Some like black, others like blue or purple. However, the action makes a bigger deal to the fish than the color.
