Anyone know the law on building a dock in new jersey? do i need permits?

    Ask the county Building Dept. which I believe handles bui;ding permits. Here in CA, my boat club has built a number of docks over the years without permits being required. We put them togetheron dry land and float them to our island. The last couple we went towelded construction in 20' foot sections and they are beautiful. Warren

    I think you can build it without a permit but you can't put it in the water without one. Seriously though maybe this site will help:

    Lake Conroe, TX, we have the San Jacinto River Authority dealin out permits fer anything in the water or flood zone.
