SUBJECT: # 27866: Transducer Mounting

Submitted by west-end-willy (170.189.193.3) from TEXAS on 12/17/2007 11:42:00 AM

Hey guys. Does anybody have a way to mount the transducer cable on the transome without drilling holes in the transom? I was wondering if there is a glue or something. I have a new boat and I hate to drill holes in the transom.

I drilled my boat, but if I were to do it again, I would use a piece of starboard. Mount the transducer to the starboard and use a 3M 4200 Adhesive to glue the starboard to the transom.

Starboard looks similar to a plastic cutting board, it is expensive.

I put mine on there with a few dabs of hot glue and it stayed on for over ten years.
