I saw a 22' Triton Center Console demo on Lake Erie in November. Lake Erie is know for short and steep waves, they were running 3 to 4 that day and the 22 seemed able to run through them pretty well. In flatter water near the harbor the top end was over 40mph. The demo was running a Optimax 225 and 15 hp 4 stroke kicker. Nice looking rig, didn't look like the crew was getting wet or beat.

Are you talking about the Tritons made by Sea Hunt? I have the Triton 172. I went 10 miles out to sea running side by side with a Scout 175. We were in 7 ft swells with a 15 knot wind. I came home dry. The Scout owner did not. The Sea Hunts are made less than 5 miles from my house. It is a well built boat.
