Does anyone know what the difference is between the Sitex CVS 106 and the CVS MK II?
Boaters World.com has the MKII for $579.95 (free shipping and no sales tax) while Post Marine has the CVS 106 for $545.95 (plus shipping).
Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

The MKII is upgraded 106. Try these sites (must use both): Vitelectronics.com and Sitex.com

Rich, did you try the Sitex web site? I have the 1998 Sitex 106, which came with my boat, and am not very happy with it. I'd switch to Furuno if I could. Ken

The CVS-106 has 200 watts rms and the MKll has 300 watts rms.Like Ken said look at the Furuno models. I installed a FCV-667 this year and it works very well and it is easy to use.

I bought a Mk II early this year, used it for the entire season, and it has been great. Much brighter display than the Furuno. I got the dual beam t'ducer so I use it inshore and off shore for cod. Easy to use and the power allows picking up the bottom while running at 40 mph. I think it's a great unit.
