shoes (126.96.36.199) from MAINE says Want to take a ride?
Last summer I drove by what appeared to be either a boat salvage yard or a huge used boat lot. From what I could tell driving by at 50mph, there was maybe a 10 acre field crammed with old boats parked in no particular order. I wanted to turn around and investigate in the worst way. It was in North Hero at the northern tip of Lake Champlain in Vermont. I bet the Hero Chamber of Commerce could get you the phone #, and if they are a salvage yard, would maybe mail you the piece if they had it.

Bob (184.108.40.206) from VIRGINIA says You can get the parts from the manufacturer
My brother has a 17' starcraft that got tapped in the rear last year by a humongous horse trailer that the driver couldn't park. He got the aluminum cap pieces from starcraft. They don't change the design of those boats very much, so picking up replacement parts isn't too bad. FYI, we do have a boat junkyard here is Chesapeake VA, its Budget boats. WWW.budgetboats.com.

Mary Lou (220.127.116.11) from MASSACHUSETTS says Boat Salvage Yards - 1985 Sea Ray Sun Dancer SRV 250 Project
We live in MA and are interested in finding boat salvage yards in MA, CT, RI, NH, or ME. We have a 1985 Sea Ray Sun Dancer SRV 250. We're looking for port and starboard side cabin windows with the frames, fold away aft bench, helm bench seating, etc. I've let my fingers do the walking, we've driven, called, searched, and found nothing. While reading this post, I found the response from "Shoes" pertaining to North Hero, VT, and what appeared to be a boat salvage yard to be the first sign of light. We'd appreciate any and all responses and suggestions as to where we can find boat slavage yards in the areas requested. Thanking you in advance, ML

Ray (18.104.22.168) from TEXAS says Boat Salvage in Texas?
I was wondering if anybody would know of a few boat salvage yads in Texas. I know of only one in San Antonio but they do not carry a large supply of Bayliner's Volovo Penta. I recently made a trip to Corpus but could not find one boat salvage place. If you have any information on this matter that would be great. Thank You! (firstname.lastname@example.org)

Daniel Harasim (22.214.171.124) from TEXAS says replacement parts
Hello, I am looking for a replacement dash to a crestliner. It is a 1996 fishhawk. I have called the company and they didn't have the stuff but mean... Well do you think a new dash will work? The boats are almost the same now and then. And I am looking for little things to replace. Is it worth replaceing your carpet youself or paying for it? How about stripping the paint? If you repaint it will the paint be as smooth as it was? thanks gents
