SUBJECT: # 25654: Carolina Skiff transducer mounting

Submitted by Tracy (65.179.1.47) from NORTH CAROLINA on 6/27/03 6:29:00 PM

I have a 2180 dlx Carolina Skiff. The dealer put the transducer on the transom but it is very close to a turning strake. I seem to loose bottom at about 15 mph. Is this the best place for them on this boat? I don't think you can thru hull mount them because of the flotation. I also get some clutter but I think that may be because it is not conected to the battery but to the back of the dash. Thanks for any help, Tracy
