re:contaminated gas- Shell paid entire bill for clogged fuel pump screen($1012). That little screen costs $66. Yamaha ripoff.If theres a lesson to learn from this. SAVE YOUR GAS RECEIPTS AND DEAL WITH ONE GAS SUPPLIER.By the way Shell supplies gas to many other dealers besides Shell stations.

    I understand that this was concentrated in the North Florida and Southern Georgia area. A lot of cars and boats had problems according to news reports.

    yes there is a racor filter and a secondary filter that is visable in motor, this contaminate ( sulphur) passed thru both filters and clogged up the small screen to fuel pump. this problem out of the motiva refinery in south and confined to southern states. Shell making good if you have proof of purchase.
