SUBJECT: # 26793: 1996 Yamaha 55c question

Submitted by kingfisher-red (69.151.216.52) from TEXAS on 8/4/04 10:08:00 PM

The other day while out the motor started running bad at low rpm's "1000" and below. Most of the time it would just die unless you held the rpms up with the idle bar, Got home put a carb kit in both carbs and it did the same thing. After putting it in the water and running found that it will run great at high or low rpms if I screw the lower carb low speed jet screw all the way in, idles perfect at 800-900 rpm's.
Is this normal, any help will be greatly appriciated.
