I owned a 1987 Wellcraft 18 ft. Fisherman, CC boat with a 130 Johnson (Motor was newer) and was very happy with the hull, both inside and outside. Never had a problem other than the usual minor accessory items they all have. Back then I think Wellcraft made very solid boats. I recently sold it and bought a 212 Sea Hunt for more room.

Ditto on what car has said, solid hull, fairly good ride. The only problems I experienced with my 1988 was with the wiring and the Captain's chair getting loose from where the deck bolts were bolted into the deck.
I used the boat quite a bit and it held up faily well.

I have a 1988 20' wellcraft CC Fisherman with a 200 Yamaha OB which I have owned from new . About six years ago the hull split along the chines in two place 6' and 8' long . I had a repair shop cut the floor out and found the cross struts had broken loose from the hull requiring extensive reinforcing . Cost about $3000 to repair. I think it broke because we were using the boat to fish offshore and it took a constant pounding . If the boat has been used on freshwater or inshore you should have no trouble with it . Two things you should know a 200 hp OB is to heavy for the boat as the transom sits to low and following seas come over the transom swamping the back cockpit also filling the live well sinks it lower .
