SUBJECT: # 27119: Engine synchronizers

Submitted by Jerry B (69.250.159.98) from MARYLAND on 3/7/05 3:21:00 PM

Would someone please explain the way engine synchronizers work particularily on outboard motors. My buddy is in the process of having twin E-Tec 250s installed on his new 32' Sea Craft and asked me to inquire about how synchronizers work. Your input may result in adding that feature to his long list of options. I asked for info from the installing mechanic, but was not given any more info than what I already know, and that ain't much. Thanks in advance.

It makes one a 'slave' and matches the rpm's of the throttle you are controlling. I would love to have one of those.
