Recently bought a mint 1987 Evinrude 8hp that runs great. Sticker on the side says 100:1 oil as does the manual. The mechanic that checked it out for me, told me to run 50:1 oil. What is the best for this older gem.

OMC tried that 100 to mix for a couple of years, but went back to 50 to 1.. I'd stick with 50 to 1...
